Blue Mountains

  • Wentworth Falls

Wentworth Falls is about 105 kms away from Sydney and has a population of approx. 5,300 people. If you take a trip to the town of Wentworh Falls ensure that you visit the specular waterfalls of which the town is named after.bmts001.gif There are may bushtracks to the falls depending on how close you would like to get to the waterfalls. It would be a great idea to take your camera to get a couple of shots of the area. Take a walk to the Princes Rock Lookout and enjoy the view of the Wenthworth Falls. bmts002.gif The lookout provides a great view of the falls as well as the surrounding valley. The town of Wentworth Falls is also famous for its many ars and craft galleries and the many antiques stores . One of these art galleries, Falls Gallery has a great collection of Australian Fine Arts with a display of works from artists such as Arthur Boyd, Charles Blackman, David Boyd, Max Miller, Garry Shead and lots more. It is worth paying the Falls Gallery a visit if you are in the area.

  • Katoomba

If you enjoyed Wentworth Falls you will love the scenery and tourist attactions available in Katoomba. Katoomba is about 110 km away from Sydney with approx. 8,200 people in the town. bmts003.gif Katoomba is the most visited town in the Blue Mountains with a great deal of tourist attactions that will keep you entertained for hours. Attractions such as the Three Sisters at Echo Point where you can take in all of the great views. bmts004.gifIf you are a keen and an experienced bushwalker you might want to take the time out and take a walk down the giant stairway which has over 800 steep steps. Once down the bottom, make your choice of what you want to do. I suggest take the 1 hour bush track to the Scenic Railway where you can have a ride on the steepest railway incline in the world or hit the heights by taking a ride on the Scenic Skyway.

There is always plenty to do at the Blue Mountains why not pay a visit?
